# Virus Watcher

> Virus Watcher is an AI-powered disease surveillance platform. Vira is the personal health agent -- text, WhatsApp, or email her to ask what diseases are spreading near any location, set watches on places that matter to you, and get alerts before outbreaks make the news.

Vira supports four watch types: Personal Watch (your own city), Family Watch (where the people you love live, with members who can join), Trip Watch (a destination tied to travel dates, with a pre-trip briefing), and Event Watch (a wedding, conference, cruise, concert, or festival, watched until it ends). No app required -- Vira works by iMessage, SMS, WhatsApp, and email.

## What Vira Does

- Monitors disease outbreak activity by city, zip code, and country using live surveillance data
- Sets location watches that alert users when outbreak activity rises
- Provides pre-trip health briefings for travelers including active disease risks and prevention advice
- Answers questions about school illness outbreaks, event health risks, and family health monitoring
